Fresh Mint Infusion
Peppermint is an aromatic perennial herb from the Labiatae family, bearing serrated, dentate leaves and purple flowers. There are two varieties available: black or white peppermint and depending on these, the leaf colour can vary from green to purple-green. The infusion is simply made by adding fresh mint to boiled water.
Peppermint contains menthol, which generates the familiar tingling, cooling sensation by dilating the blood vessels and stimulating sensory nerve endings. It has a unique effect on the scalp as menthol can disrupt the hair fall cycle, prolonging the process and thereby allowing the hair to be retained within the scalp for a longer period. The best results are achieved by regular applications of menthol on the scalp.
