Fresh Iris Extracted in Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Where do we get these ingredients?
Lush UK purchases irises from a fresh flower supplier who sources them from different countries around the world depending on species, season and availability. They must comply with Lush's buying policy which prohibits the use of certain pesticides, herbicides and fungicides, all listed here. Each material entering our manufacturing sites is tested to ensure that it doesn’t contain any traces of it.
The olive oil is of an extra virgin grade as it means an extraction process that preserves the most flavour and nutrients from the fruits - and its beautiful green tint. Depending on the availability, the oil can come from four different organic sources in Turkey, Lebanon, Sicily and Spain, all with regenerative practices.
With seven manufacturing sites across the globe, this information may vary depending on where your Lush products were made.
What are the benefits for you?

Unique stories
A symbol of power, royalty and wisdom, it is no wonder that iris flowers have been used so frequently in heraldry and inspired the famous fleur-de-lis. Long before that, in Greek mythology, Iris was a goddess embodying the rainbow, a messenger between gods and mortals, souls and after-life.
