Ingredient
Citronellol
Benefit:
Synthetic
Well known for its insect-repellent properties, citronellol is an aromatic molecule that occurs naturally in some essential oils, such as lemongrass or citronella.
Citronellol
In Lush products, if citronellol is present because it is a constituent of one of the oils we use, its name will be in green and preceded by an asterisk in the list of ingredients. If it is written in black, it means that the molecule has been reproduced in labs and added to products for its fragrance.
This citronellol is a bit different. Written in green but without an asterisk, it is extracted from plants (and therefore natural) and put into our product for an extra touch of sweet and lemony freshness.
