No Drought

I use a lot of Lush skin products and love them, and they have done wonders for my skin.

This year I bought the dry shampoo in an effort to be more zero waste - the store bought ones in cans don't last long and are super wasteful.

BUT, I am not impressed. This is the first lush product that I have tried which really doesn't perform. My key issues:

- It makes my scalp insanely itchy, in a way that spray shampoos don't.
- despite my best efforts, it sits away from the scalp, making hair further down really dry and matted.
- my scalp is oily again within a couple of hours of application, it doesn't really deal with the oil.
- The white thickness of it and how it applies makes it seem like expensive baby powder. I wonder if it is the same formula. The texture reminds me of grey renaissance hair - itchy wigs and all...

I tried this on the advice of a friend, it left an awful texture to my hair and left it looking greaser than before. I'm kind of devastated cos I love everything lush!

This dry shampoo takes a wee while to get the technic right for application (I've been used to using spray cans!) But once you get the hang of it, It works a treat and smells amazing. My hair stays refreshed all day.

I started using No Drought almost a year ago and its completely changed my hair care regime. Having long, thin to medium, blonde hair that would become greasy every night after washing in the morning, I used to wash my hair every day. After subbing in No Drought for washes for a few months, I now wash my hair one a week (with the Karma shampoo bar, its perfect for greasy hair) and its never felt healthier, softer or shinier!

This dry shampoo isn't like the others, its not clumpy or drying, it doesn't make my hair white or powdery. Instead, my hair feels fuller at the roots and smells amazingly fresh all the way through the week. Every one or two days I thinly sprinkle the powder onto my roots and comb only to the mid-lengths of my hair. I never brush all the way through to the ends as my hair doesn't need that much brushing.

The 100g bottle lasted for over 4 months for me, much longer than the dry shampoo spray bottles.

I bought this product the other day and was really excited to try it, but sadly it made my hands incredibly sore and I had to constantly reapply hand cream for the next few days and even worse my eyes swelled up really red and watery and stayed like that for 24 hours. Didn't do any good for my hair either. Will be avoiding this product!
